These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the MoKan Group websites at mokangroup.com and tscmnews.com (the "Sites") and any inquiry you submit through them. By using the Sites, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Sites.

About our services

MoKan Group provides Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) — professional inspections intended to detect and locate unauthorized surveillance devices. Submitting a form on the Sites is a request to begin a conversation; it does not create a contract. Any engagement is governed by a separate written agreement and quote we provide after a consultation.

No guarantee of results. TSCM is a professional service, not a warranty. We apply trained methods and professional-grade equipment to reduce risk, but no inspection can guarantee that every possible device will be found, or that a space will remain clear after we leave. Nothing on the Sites should be read as a promise of a specific outcome.

Scheduling, cancellation, and fees

We do not collect payments through the Sites. Engagements are scoped and quoted individually, and fees, deposits (if any), scheduling, and cancellation terms are set out in the written agreement for each engagement. Unless that agreement says otherwise, cancellations should be made as far in advance as possible; work already performed, and reasonable costs already incurred, may be billable.

Informational content is not professional advice

The Sites include reference and educational material, including news summaries, a field guide, calculators, and a "Know the Law" overview. This material is provided for general information only. It is not legal, security, or other professional advice, and it may not be current or apply to your situation. Do not rely on it as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional or a review of primary sources.

Tools and third-party data

Interactive tools on the Sites — including RF calculators, MAC lookup, and "Network Recon" (which draws on the third-party WiGLE database) — are provided "as is" for informational and educational use. Their results may be incomplete or inaccurate, and absence of a result is not proof that nothing is present. You are responsible for using these tools lawfully and only for legitimate purposes.

Intellectual property

The Sites and their content — text, graphics, logos, and tools — are owned by MoKan Group or its licensors and are protected by law. News items are summarized from third-party sources and attributed to those sources, which retain their own rights. You may view and share links to the Sites, but you may not copy, republish, or exploit their content without permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Sites, interfere with their operation, attempt to access non-public areas, or use any tool on the Sites to harass, stalk, surveil, or harm any person or to violate any law. Our services and tools are intended to protect privacy, not to invade it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MoKan Group is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Sites or reliance on their content or tools. Services we perform under a written agreement are governed by the liability terms in that agreement.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the Sites will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Kansas, unless a written engagement agreement provides otherwise.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and your continued use of the Sites means you accept the updated Terms.
